"Ocala Mayor Launches 'Workout with the Mayor' Program"

The Ocala Recreation and Parks, along with the Office of the Mayor, have introduced a new program called Workout with the Mayor. The program will start on Saturday, May 4, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, located at 1821 NW 21st Ave. This event is free and open to everyone.

Mayor Marciano will be joined by Clint Hart, a former San Diego Chargers safety and owner of Healthy Harts Fitness for the kickoff event. The program will feature youth fitness classes, opportunities to meet exercise machines, smoothie bikes, and giveaways.

Attendees are invited to celebrate the mayor's birthday with light refreshments at 9:50 a.m.

Additional workout dates and locations include:

- June 1: Jervey Gantt Recreation Complex, 2200 SE 36th Ave.

- July 6: Tuscawilla Park, 213 NE Fifth St.

- August 3: Ocala Wetland Recharge Park, 2105 NW 21st St.

- September 7: Fort King National Historic Landmark, 3925 E Fort King St.

- October 5: Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, 1821 NW 21st Ave.
