Community Leaders Celebrated at Ocala City Council Meeting

During a recent Ocala City Council meeting, several individuals and groups were recognized for their significant contributions to the community.
Mayor Ben Marciano awarded the Citizen Recognition Award to Ocala Fire Rescue Captain Jesse Blaire for his outstanding contributions.
The meeting also included the proclamation of National Arts and Humanities Month, highlighting the role of art and culture in enhancing community life.
The initiative Give4Marion Day was discussed, which allows nonprofit organizations to connect with new donors and increase their visibility in Marion County.
Additionally, City Manager Peter Lee recognized Angela Scroble of the Ocala Police Department for her 30 years of service. He also honored Battalion Chief Theron McEarchern for his 40 years of dedicated service to Ocala Fire Rescue.
The meeting celebrated the hard work and commitment shown by these individuals in serving the community.
