Local Voices Celebrate Creativity in Seattle Event

Staff Report /

**Local Voices Shine at Murmurations Reading Series in Seattle**

Seattle Arts & Lectures (SAL) hosted a successful gathering for “Murmurations: Local Voices Taking Flight” at @common_area. The session brought together a talented lineup of poets, writers, and comic artists, including Troy Osaki (@troytheboylandrumjr), Nhatt Tran (@nhatt_attack_comics), Putsata Reang (@putsata), Elaina Ellis (@warshingtonian), Raul Ruiz (@poetruiz), and Ell Lin. Attendees joined both in-person and virtually to enjoy a showcase of creative works in progress.

The Murmurations series is part of SAL’s Writers in the Schools (WITS) program, which highlights local teaching artists who inspire students through craft and performance in Seattle classrooms. This four-part series offers these resident writers a platform to share their works with the community while continuing to nurture their artistic growth.

The next event in the series is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM PST at @common_area. Mark your calendars to catch another evening of remarkable storytelling and voices taking flight.
